Dan Sa Ran was a dance major in college. Wherever she goes, she draws stares from men admiring her beauty. However, her life has been a series of struggles due to the death of her mother and conflicts with her stepmother. There are many aspects of her family that she is not proud of. She has a calm and polite demeanor. Despite her family's poor financial state, she hangs out with the rich kids in school. She later develops a crush on Do Mo, who turns out to be from a fabulously rich family, and helplessly watched her rich friend La La make a move on Da Mo to win his affection. One day, she is spotted by Do Hwa who sees her potential to become a popular gisaeng and thus, recruits her to join Buyonggak, the last giaseng house in the country.
